CASK is a climate action project, involving EurAV, Sonairte - the National Ecology Centre of Ireland, and the Mediterranean Institute of Agronomics in Chania, Crete.
The project will develop training for food service industry professionals in Ireland on how to adopt the popular Mediterranean diet to an Irish context, using local, sustainable and seasonal produce instead of imports, while maintaining the quality that the public has come to expect.
The project is funded by the European Union under its Erasmus Plus programme. EurAV's role is mainly in audio visual production and dissemination.
EurAV supports Media Literacy Ireland's "Stop.Think.Check." campaign to tackle misinformation and 'fake news'.
The Climate Challenge is a six-part BAI-funded television series that follows four teams of students as they get to grips with the everyday changes that most individuals can make to help in the fight against climate change. The teams, mentored by experts, will each be assigned an area - travel, home, fashion or food - and will compete against each other to design and roll out a social media campaign aimed at positively influencing their peers.
EurAV is involved in supporting the training development for this series.
EurAV joins trans-EU partners to tackle media literacy problems
EurAV has partnered with organisations in Sicily, Slovakia and North Macedonia to develop a radio-friendly campaign, aimed at delivering media literacy training to the older population of the rural areas in these countries. This demographic has been shown to be seven times more likely to share 'fake' news. The project, DiSeRA (Disinformation of Seniors in Rural Areas), is funded by the EU under its Erasmus Plus programme.
